Certified Guardian Ad Litem

In family court, a Guardian Ad Litem (or GAL as they are sometimes referred) is an individual whom the court appoints to represent a child or a disabled individual in a court proceeding,  to make recommendations as to what solutions would be in the best interests of the child or the person with a disability.
